Ancient History of Astrology

Astrology’s history goes back over five thousand years to the earliest recorded human civilization, Sumeria. The twelve symbols of our modern day zodiac harken back to a time when they were the heraldry symbols for Sumeria’s eleven ruling lords and one lady, Ishtar, a woman whom no man ruled (the original meaning of virgin) and whose sign we now call Virgo.
