The creation of sacred spaces can easily be seen as a central organizing principal underlying Amy's entire artistic output. Each of her pieces is a transcendently beautiful temple of wisdom that invites us to come into its space and renew our connection to the sacred.
The word "sacred" is derived from the Latin sacer meaning "untouchable," and consequently, a sacred space is one where we can feel safe and secure, beyond the reach of any disturbing or distracting outside forces. In a sacred space we can contact the immensely powerful forces for inspiration, motivation, healing, and illumination that are within us at all times yet are often rendered practically untouchable by the whirlwind of daily living.
